The seminar emphasizes choosing correct tubing and fittings for the site, proper handling, preparing, and installing components to specification. It covers bending theory, methods, and gives students experience making multiple styles of bends.
Description
Students will learn foundational tube fitting knowledge that ensures system integrity and minimizes leakage risks. The course covers proper tube selection, cutting, and deburring; assembly of Swagelok® tube fittings; and gauging a tube fitting assembly. Bending tube helps to eliminate mechanical connections, which can be a source for leaks in traditional piping systems. In this course, Swagelok instructors cover parts of the tube bender, theory of bending, and the measure bend method. Students will bend multiple pieces of tubing to increase the knowledge and experience levels.

Certification
Swagelok Certificate of Completion - valid for 3 years (subject to successful completion of both practical and theoretical exam).
